XIP Intelligent Process Composite Applications

A unique development environment

Rapidly build Intelligent Process Composite Applications

Santéon's XIP BPM Platform tools provide the ability to create Intelligent Process Composite Applications. A composite application assembles together data and business logic from existing systems and Santéon adds the Intelligent Process Orchestration layer giving organizations the ability to orchestrate all the systems and data together in organized workflows. Essentially, Santéon BPM helps you make several systems and data look like a single application. It is possible to rapidly build these Intelligent Process Composite Applications to improve process efficiency, process accuracy, business performance, and process oversight across organizations.

Presentation Layer

The presentation layer provides users the ability to interact with data pulled from various systems in a role-based access. The presentation layer depends on a 'design once deploy anywhere' technology, enabling the developer to design form interfaces in a RAD easy to use environment and deploy it for desktop, Web, mobile device or TabletPC. The form contains data and validation logic, and is flow aware with out-of-the box support for forwarding to other users, pending messages, adding notes and attachments.

Business Logic Layer

Santéon's XIP BPM offers Process Orchestration capability to organize business logic and rules into a fully or partially automated workflows that can involve human interaction in the process. There is out-of-the-box ability to re-use and extend existing systems' logic. There is a large library of pre-built components for routing messages, data validation, data analysis and others.

The Workflow Designer offers an embedded development environment to create your own components. This environment is not proprietary; you can code in any .NET based language of your choice. You can even have multiple developers write in different languages.

To create new business logic, logic can be built directly in workflows or extracted in a Dynamic Business Rules Manager component which provides the ability for business users to modify some logic on-the-fly without disrupting a running business process or involving IT staff.

XIP BPM also offers Modeling and Simulation technology for defining the flow between components within the process and running 'what if?' scenarios to test process efficiencies. The graphical nature of model logic definition allows zero coding for defining the flow logic. Process definition can be exported from the modeling environment in WS-BPEL 2.0, supporting the latest technologies in process integration. The process workflow is then available for execution in any application supporting WS-BPEL 2.0.

Enterprise Application and Data Services Layer

XIP BPM is fully interoperable with any data type or any type of system. The platform also provides the ability to manage business vocabulary for exchanging data between multiple systems within or outside the enterprise. As part of Santéon's Business Language Manager, there is built-in ability to map and transform data with a large macro library, advanced macros, and the ability to build your own macros.

Monitoring and Reporting Layer

Santéon offers a Business Activity Monitoring (BAM) layer to oversee the efficiency of the Intelligent Process Composite Applications. With real-time and historical views, organizations have greater insight and ability to optimize their performance rapidly. There are comprehensive audit trail and reporting capabilities, as well as auto alerts by email, escalations and dynamic rerouting of processes with bottlenecks.
