A new approach to integration design
Santeon offers a refreshing approach to business process management and integration that strikes the balance between technical sophistication and ease-of-use with its unique development environment. It isn't enough to connect systems. It isn't enough to just have workflow. It isn't acceptable for organizations to be strapped to technology investments and limitations that don't keep up with their need to grow and change. It isn't okay to require organizations to learn proprietary languages or centralize or standardize data. It isn't feasible to expect every organization to have to adopt their processes to a technology or a template; but at the same time it isn't feasible to spend a long time doing customization. It isn't reasonable for integration to cost multiple millions of dollars. It isn't plausible to expect organizations to migrate fully to web services. Santeon offers a novel approach.
Santeon's technology platform is unmatched in its ease of use and ability for customization to configure a seamless workflow connection between data, people and systems that is fully interoperable across any type of data system, method or user interface (Web, desktop, legacy, custom, J2EE, Web Services, COM, XML, native).

XIP iStudio-Workflow Designer
Pre-built components in visual drag-and-drop interface
Using Santéon's XIP Workflow Designer, you can design the automated business process workflow and all human interactions in the process. The Workflow Designer is a drag-and-drop visual development environment with a library of pre-built components to configure intelligent process automation and integration that is interoperable across any type of data, system, method or user interface. You can create an event-driven process orchestration integrating with legacy systems, a pure Service Oriented Architecture, or a hybrid mix of Web services and legacy systems.
Santéon's XIP Workflow Designer's comprehensive, yet easy-to-use, environment supports integration efforts that can take weeks rather than months. It includes configurable components for data validation, data conversion, decision routing, customization, human interaction, email notification, business rules management, archiving, and others to speed implementation of process automation and management. The declarative integration environment allows for quick click configuration of the components rather than intensive hard-coding.
Santéon understands that each organization is unique and customization of processes is essential. While we provide pre-built components, process templates, message structures, forms and reports, most organizations still need some tailoring and the product is unmatched in its ability to customize rapidly. There is a built-in embedded development allowing developers to code in any .Net based language of their choice- so there is not only no need to learn a proprietary language, but an organization can even have different developers writing code in different languages that make the most sense for their organization and development team.
Capabilities and Benefits of Santéon's Workflow Designer
Santéon's Trans-Language Development Environment. Provides an environment for developing supporting multiple types of coding and languages.
- Declarative Integration environment offers pre-built components that can be quickly configured
- Embedded development environment offers the ability to extend capabilities and customize in a built-in, non-proprietary development environment where you code in any .Net based language of your choice
Santéon's Trans-Personnel Collaborative Environment. Integrated with other XIP applications, XIP offers both business and technical views to improve collaboration between all stakeholders of process integration efforts.
Contextual Integration. You can define the timeframe for use of rules, for example you can apply always or certain times of day allowing you fine control (for example, if an order comes in between business hours do one action, if not do another action).
Visual, drag-and-drop environment. Easy-to-use drag-and-drop environment to visually design the process workflow integration.
Library of pre-built components. Quickly configure large library of pre-built components. You can also create your own components and add them to the library to extend capabilities unique to your organization, using Santéon's embedded development environment. Some of the pre-built components that are ready to click and configure include:
- data validation
- data analysis
- data transformation
- business rules management
- archiving
- decision routing
- human interaction
- email notification
- web services
- message splitting
Event driven. Organizations can define constants that can be used and reused by business process owners.
Supports hybrid environments of legacy systems and Web Services. You can begin to realize the value of Web Services with some of your applications, even if you don't have a pure Service Oriented Architecture.
Imports process models. Can import process models from XIP Modeler to configure for execution.
Interoperable. Interoperable with any data type or system type. Accepts native, delimited and positional data, as well as EDI.
Messages carry attachments, notes. The workflow can process messages that carry attachments of various formats (PDF, jpeg, .doc,.) and users can add notes.
Audit trail. The workflow is fully-auditable with a time-stamped audit trail.
XIP iStudio-Editor and Connector
Defining and transforming data for exchange
To enable EAI and B2B transaction processing across multiple systems, organizations must define the language to exchange business information. Santéon's XIP Editor and Connector manage business language and vocabulary to easily define message structures and map structures to different formats. Santéon's XIP platform comes with several pre-defined industry message structures to jump start implementation.
XIP Editor. Define and manage business language to exchange data among internal and external diverse systems. The Editor supports various formats such as XML, Delimited and Positional. By supporting multiple formats, you have increased flexibility with trading partners to use any message type without restriction or the need for expensive additional adaptors. To speed implementation, the XIP Editor creates self-validating files. The message structure component can be reused by other business applications, or tested in transaction validators. The XIP Editor also comes with pre-built message structures for industries, to include HL7, X12 and GJXDM.
XIP Connector. Transform business language from one format to another, such as might be needed to convert data from an organization's standard form to an industry compliance form or to exchange information among different organizations. There is an extensive library of built-in standard and Advanced Macros. In Santéon's embedded development environment in the Connector, you can also create your own macros in the .NET based programming language of your choice for common custom mapping needs, if not already in the large pre-built macro library.
XIP iStudio-Form Designer
Providing centralized interactivity with enterprise data
Enterprises have information from multiple applications that staff must use regularly for business decisions. Santéon provides access to this information in a centralized intelligent form that users can interact with in real-time, without having to centralize the data or systems. Santéon's XIP Form Designer allows organizations to build smart forms for process initiation, data access, validation, modification and collaboration. The smart forms can be designed once and deployed anywhere, such as Web, Desktop, mobile device and TabletPCs.
Intelligent forms provide organizations with the ability to create highly sophisticated interactions with processes. Users can initiate processes through forms that kick-off automated sub-processes. Forms can be used to provide comments on applications, reject invoices and provide reasons that can be modified by a user, highlight errors or issues that require review or attention, or simply to view information from disparate systems to make decisions. The forms can be controlled wit h role-based access to what can be edited or viewed.
Capabilities and Benefits of Santéon's XIP Form Designer
Santéon's Trans-Personnel Collaborative Environment. Integrated with other XIP applications, XIP offers both business and technical views to improve collaboration between all stakeholders of process integration efforts.
Visual drag-and-drop interface. Easy-to-use visual drag-and-drop interface to create any type of form easily with text and graphical elements.
Design once, Deploy anywhere. The forms can be developed once and deployed to variety of interfaces to include Desktop, Web, Mobile device or TabletPC.
