Using Santéon's XIP Workflow Designer, you can design the automated business process workflow and all human interactions in the process. The Workflow Designer is a drag-and-drop visual development environment with a library of pre-built components to configure intelligent process automation and integration that is interoperable across any type of data, system, method or user interface. You can create an event-driven process orchestration integrating with legacy systems, a pure Service Oriented Architecture, or a hybrid mix of Web services and legacy systems.

Santéon's XIP Workflow Designer's comprehensive, yet easy-to-use, environment supports integration efforts that can take weeks rather than months. It includes configurable components for data validation, data conversion, decision routing, customization, human interaction, email notification, business rules management, archiving, and others to speed implementation of process automation and management. The declarative integration environment allows for quick click configuration of the components rather than intensive hard-coding.

Santéon understands that each organization is unique and customization of processes is essential. While we provide pre-built components, process templates, message structures, forms and reports, most organizations still need some tailoring and the product is unmatched in its ability to customize rapidly. There is a built-in embedded development allowing developers to code in any .Net based language of their choice- so there is not only no need to learn a proprietary language, but an organization can even have different developers writing code in different languages that make the most sense for their organization and development team.

Defining and transforming data for exchange

To enable EAI and B2B transaction processing across multiple systems, organizations must define the language to exchange business information. Santéon's XIP Editor and Connector manage business language and vocabulary to easily define message structures and map structures to different formats. Santéon's XIP platform comes with several pre-defined industry message structures to jump start implementation.

XIP Editor. Define and manage business language to exchange data among internal and external diverse systems. The Editor supports various formats such as XML, Delimited and Positional. By supporting multiple formats, you have increased flexibility with trading partners to use any message type without restriction or the need for expensive additional adaptors. To speed implementation, the XIP Editor creates self-validating files. The message structure component can be reused by other business applications, or tested in transaction validators. The XIP Editor also comes with pre-built message structures for industries, to include HL7, X12 and GJXDM.

XIP Connector. Transform business language from one format to another, such as might be needed to convert data from an organization's standard form to an industry compliance form or to exchange information among different organizations. There is an extensive library of built-in standard and Advanced Macros. In Santéon's embedded development environment in the Connector, you can also create your own macros in the .NET based programming language of your choice for common custom mapping needs, if not already in the large pre-built macro library.

Providing centralized interactivity with enterprise data

Enterprises have information from multiple applications that staff must use regularly for business decisions. Santéon provides access to this information in a centralized intelligent form that users can interact with in real-time, without having to centralize the data or systems. Santéon's XIP Form Designer allows organizations to build smart forms for process initiation, data access, validation, modification and collaboration. The smart forms can be designed once and deployed anywhere, such as Web, Desktop, mobile device and TabletPCs.

Intelligent forms provide organizations with the ability to create highly sophisticated interactions with processes. Users can initiate processes through forms that kick-off automated sub-processes. Forms can be used to provide comments on applications, reject invoices and provide reasons that can be modified by a user, highlight errors or issues that require review or attention, or simply to view information from disparate systems to make decisions. The forms can be controlled wit h role-based access to what can be edited or viewed.
