XIP Monitor

Turning insight into impact

Business Activity Monitoring

Continual process optimization. Rapid improvements. Adapting systems rapidly to changing business requirements. These are critical to business efficiency and maximizing the potential of a BPM initiative. That is why Santeon designed the XIP BPM suite to have comprehensive real-time and historical analytical capability in its Business Activity Monitoring (BAM) product. Using Santeon XIP Monitor, organizations can manage and control business productivity to rapidly identify and resolve problems, using real-time instrumentation of running processes, dynamic re-routing and auto alerts, and comprehensive reports. Our BAM is designed to do more than monitor activities, but rather to maximize efficiencies that optimize business goals.

Insight and Action for Optimization

There are two keys aspects of monitoring and management of BPM initiatives that are both critical to maximize productivity.

1. Gathering the right insights on the processes (real-time and historical patterns)
The XIP Monitor has instrumentation to show you visually where all the messages are in the process flow. Additionally, comprehensive dashboard reports show historical patterns of use to trigger improvement actions. These analytical capabilities can be customized easily for your organization to create additional reports and dashboards, and these reports can be exported for use in other performance management systems.

XIP Monitor uses Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) so your organization can define the thresholds of acceptable performance for all aspects of your initiative that you want insight or action. For instance, you can set KPIs to be notified by email when an application has been in the process flow for over 5 days, allowing you to ensure processing within pre-identified time frames. It is also possible to set KPIs to indicate when a particular user is bottlenecked with too many activities. The KPIs can be set to provide insight when thresholds are hit, and then take corrective actions.

2. Using the information to take the right corrective, optimization action (notifications and dynamic actions)
Using the XIP Monitor KPIs capability, you can set business user, business manager, executive and system administrator actions to respond to performance issues. You can set alerts or notifications, as well as pre-program dynamic actions such as rerouting of bottlenecks. You have full control over the types of intelligent actions you desire to manage process efficiency. Alerts can be triggered within the XIP system or by email.
